Learning A Few Ways To Create Peace Socially
What is the first thing that comes to
your mind when you think about society? It should create a space for everyone
that makes them feel comfortable and belong. To have a feeling of comfort and
belongingness, it is important to make everyone feel the same and equal. Here
comes the part of peace making and peace building with others if you
wish to create a society where no one is above the other.
Though many people believe in the
same philosophy of making peace with others, they may not know the exact ways
to do it. And that is okay because we will be talking about how to make the
society more peaceful.
- If
you want peace, make a commitment to yourselves to stick to non-violence.
No matter what the situation, keep your mind adamant about being
non-violent. Once you start doing this, people around you will also start
following this practice.
- When
you see someone in trouble, make sure to help them in any way you can.
This way, you will not just help them but also make them feel comfortable,
and they will feel free to open up in front of you. Whether you know that
person or not, help them out!
- When
you see something wrong happening around you, do not ignore it but take
measurable action for it. Russell Moore and social justice are two
things that go hand in hand because he also believes in taking action
against the inappropriate happening around us and helping others.
- Never
blame the other person if something happens to you. Instead, learn to take
account of your own actions and the situations you get into. Also, make
sure to forgive the other person when they are wrong and do not hold
anything against them. This will only create differences between the two
of you.
A peaceful society is what we all
wish to live in. But it can only be possible if we follow the above mentioned
ways. If you wish to walk on the path of creating peace, you can read Bishop
Todd Hunter's books, where he talks about the purpose of the church and how
spiritual formation is connected with Jesus. This can also give you a better
understanding of why creating peace is important and how we can do it.
